Have you ever been to the Hideaway in Partington?
Wow – this play centre is one of our absolute favourites, particularly if you are looking for affordable activities to do this winter when the weather gets colder! It’s also a great place to go if you have mixed aged children as there’s things for babies there all the way up to school age children.
They also have a fantastic play centre and Noah’s ark café which is where we came to visit and enjoy. They are open Monday-Saturday but please do check on their website as certain times are restricted to younger age groups to keep the play centre safe for all. Monday to Friday they also operate a “pay what you can” system which allows families to access the centre who may not be able to afford a normal soft play.
It’s quite hard to describe the Hideaway, the play centre itself is a mix between a role play village and a soft play. There are different sections which include everything from a baby sensory room, sand play, a soft play climbing frame, a role play village and even a full size bouncy castle.
It has a recommended age from 0-8 and I loved it as my eldest could play on the bouncy castle whilst I could watch my youngest play in the role play centre at the same time. It’s one of the best equipped places for babies with everything from bouncers, play mats to walkers and great baby changing facilities too with private places to feed inside the Ark.
The Hideaway is a non for profit organisation and is focused on the support of local families through a range of services, education and partners. They also have a range of classes and groups such as baby classes, classes for dad’s and their children, grandparents and their grandchildren and even mums’ nights out!
The café serves everything from toasties to sandwiches and a great place to catch up with friends after a play!
We already can’t wait to return.
