The Beeches Golf driving range near Knutsford opened in Dec 2020 and they are proud to have been the first golf facility in the North West, and only the third in England to feature Trackman Range.
After our game of Adventure Golf we decided to try our hand on The Range. We got 50 balls and headed down to one of the bays with a member of staff. We were shown how to use the computer and how to access all the different features. There was plenty of choice of different activities. From simple practicing your shot, to recreating world famous golf courses and even a children’s monster game called “Magic Pond”. Kids can hit their balls and with each successful target they hit they find a different monster. I didn’t expect this many features especially with children’s game so was impressed right from the start.
My husband has played golf before so he was our teacher. He explained to me and the girls how to hold the club and take a shot. Our first few balls were either misses or only went a couple of meters but we soon got the hang of it or at least the girls did. By the end of our 50 balls we were having too much fun to stop so the girls went back to the shop and got another 50 balls.
All of us improved as we took it in turns to have our go. This was a great family activity as we all were watching each others shots and suggesting ways to improve. An hour and a half flaw by and by the end the girls had already asked to come back another day.
Now I’m not a golfer but the TrackMan system sounds great for anyone who wants to learn, improve or practice their game. It is the newest and most accurate driving range technology of its kind.

There was a good mix of people using the range from young to old and the place felt like it had a very sociable side as well as just the sport. The staff were friendly and helpful so there is no reason to be nervous about trying something new. We also checked out their cafe which is great too.
