Red Kite Days Oxfordshire Award Winners 2023

Wowzers – you went all out to support your local family favourites in the Red Kite Days Awards 2023, with literally thousands of people voting.  It was extremely close in many of the categories so a huge congratulations to all the finalists and a big thank you to everyone who supported by nominating and voting.

Best Museum – The Story Museum

Best Indoor Play – Sprouts Play Barn

Sprouts Play Barn at Millets Farm is soft play on another level. A great space to play, learn and grow, it’s suitable for all ages with a specially designed area for the under 5’s and they have great cake too!

Best Outdoor Play – Cutteslow Park

Cutteslowe Park is the largest park in Oxford with great play areas, mini golf, a miniature railway, duck pond and lots of great space to explore.

Best for Eating Out – The Old Shed

The Old Shed sits nestled in Banbury Hill Farm close to Charlbury.  Family friendly with great food, friendly service and a little wooden tractor to clamber on outside.  Great to combine a visit with a walk around the woods or try a game of disc golf.

Best Theatre – Oxford Playhouse

The Oxford Playhouse is a theatre for everyone. Bringing live performance, drama, dance, comedy to our stage in the heart of Oxford.  They also also work with over 15,000 young people a year through their young people’s theatre company and community activities.

Ante/Postnatal – Baby Bexercise

Baby Bexercise runs bring your baby exercise classes in Banbury.

Best Baby & Toddler Group – Jellybean Stay & Play

Jellybeans stay and play is for under 5’s with their parents and carers. Run by Lifehouse Community Church, all welcome to come and join for a cuppa and cake, for just £2. A sign up link is  posted in their Facebook group each Monday. In the group there is a baby area, home corner, an activity and many more toys. Then they finish with some songs together.

Best Kid’s Activity Class  – WOAPA (West Oxfordshire Academy of Performing Arts)

WOAPA are a popular, children’s theatre school with singing, drama and dance classes for children aged 4 – 21yrs in Witney.

Best Parties – Aaron Williams Entertainer

Aaron Williams is a super popular, entertaining children across Oxfordshire and beyond at parties and events.

Community Support – Be Free Young Carers

Be Free Young Carers are the only charity in Oxfordshire devoted to improving young carers’ well-being and opportunities, through the provision of recreational, emotional and social support.
