Nestled in the heart of of Marsh Gibbon, this charming playground and pump track was a great find as it ticked the boxes for all my kids from 8 to 14.
Marsh Gibbon Playground
For younger children, there’s a good sized playground which is surrounded by a fence making it much easier if you little ones who like to go in different directions. There’s a lovely wooden boat style climbing frame with curly slide, great for some imaginative play.
There are toddlers swings, roundabout, little wooden train and a see saw too. If you’re looking for a bit more, there’s a nest swing and wobble board past the pump track and behind the football pitch.
Marsh Gibbon Pump Track
Now, let’s talk about the real star of the show for my boys — the pump track. It’s a brilliant addition that makes Marsh Gibbon stand out from the average village playground.
Suitable for bikes, scooters, and skateboards, the track is has rolling bumps and gentle turns, perfect for young riders just getting the hang of it, yet still exciting enough for more confident kids to have fun.
There’s also two half pipes (think that’s what they’re called) and they’re next to each other so easy to move from one to another.
Football Pitch & Basket Ball Court
My boys always bring a football when we head to the park and are happy to have a good kick around. My 8 year old was particularly pleased to find an all weather pitch with goals. I joined in but he can definitely run rings around me now.
Round the back of the football pitch we discovered another little area with a small basketball court and a run of assault course style equipment which my teenager loved and you’ll also find a table tennis table next to the pump track.
Parking & Toilets
There’s free parking at Marsh Gibbon Village Hall and you’ll spot the playground as soon as you drive in. There are no toilet facilities at the park there which was the only downside for us
