Make a CD Scarecrow

kids garden craft, cd bird scarer, cd scarecrow, homemade scarecrow

Here’s a fun little project for the garden using some old CDs – your very own CD ‘scarecrow’. It’s a quick little project that is fun for kids to help decorate the garden. The CDs glint in the sun and help to scare away crows and pigeons in areas where you have seeds growing.

You will need:

  • Old CD
  • Sharpie pens/ permanent markers
  • Cane
  • String

How to make the CD Scarecrow:

  • Draw on the shiny side of the CD with the permanent markers.
  • Tie the CD on to a cane using string and ‘plant’ it next to your seedlings.
