The new craze! If you love pancakes you have to try a fluffy Japanese one and FuwaFuwa are the masters. They now have an Oxford cafe in the Golden Cross (near the Covered Market).
Its central location makes it a convenient stop for both locals and tourists exploring the city and the interior is designed to reflect the light and airy nature of its signature dishes.
My big boys had an inset day on Friday so we headed into town to check them out. Light and fluffy – almost like a soufflé they are devine.
The pancake mix is very different to what you’d normally expect, it looks almost like meringue mix before it’s cooked on a hot plate.
There’s a range of options to choose from and we went for a pistachio milk, strawberry & nutella and blueberry & yuzu cheesecake.
We demolished them and they were sooooooo good. Surprisingly filling too and beautiful presented each with it’s own extras from vanilla cream to dried rose petals and biscuit crumbs.
My eldest also snuck in a hot chocolate which was perhaps one step too far on the sugar overload!
