Toddler and Pre-School Multi-Sport Classes
‘Fun, Healthy and Inclusive’
Oxford Active Totz classes are run by Sophi Butler, a qualified PE teacher with 10 Years’ experience of working in education. The classes introduce children between the ages of 18 months-5 years to sport.
The focus is on fun, fun and more fun through interactive games, and using a wide range of sporting equipment. Each session follows a theme, for example: A Day at the Zoo, Outer Space, Dinosaur Explore, Under the Sea and much much more.
Active Totz classes help to develop children’s Gross Motor skills. Gross Motor Skills involve using large muscle groups and are integral to everyday physical activities:
- Balance
- Agility
- Throwing
- Running
- Jumping
- Kicking
As a multi-sports class we also help to develop Sport Specific Skills, here are just a handful of the Sports we look at across the year:
- Basketball
- Hockey
- Football
- Rugby
- Cricket
Furthermore, we help to grow your little ones physical confidence, teamwork skills, turn taking, colour and number recognition.
